This morning was a rush day for us because we woke up late. So, instead of preparing something special, we stuck to easy-to-cook with always-ready ingredients.
I was thinking what to cook for the day. Something that easily cooks and something which isn't hard to cook. and the "TING!", i saw the eggs on the fridge. and so, it was decided, we were going to have "Egg Omelette" for the day. But this omelette will be different from the usual ones. I would add basil on it.
Ingredients:
5 pcs eggs
5-6 bulbs of garlic
2 gloves of onions
5-6 pcs ripe tomatoes
Cooking oil (i used Canola Oil)
How I cooked it:
1. Crushed the garlic, sliced the onions (thin) and tomatoes (some prefer to remove the seeds)
2. Minced the basil
3. Beat the eggs. Sprinkled some salt
4. Added minced basil onto the scrambled eggs. Set aside
5. Saute'd the onions, garlic and tomatoes. Set aside
6. Fried the eggs. When slightly cooked (or when the bottom part is slightly brown), I added the Saute'd ingredients in the middle of the eggs.
7. Folded the beaten eggs so that the saute'd ingredients will serve as fillings..
8. Served hot.
Hmmm.... even I can't resist the aroma of the basil. for me, it was the yummiest egg omelette I have ever made. and my hubby agreed so too.
I'm not a good cook. That's a fact. I do not even know how to cook spaghetti. I'm not like my mom nor my sister who can make any dish. When I was still single, the only thing that I can cook are hard-boiled eggs, instant canton (I'm an expert), instant noodles, fried fish or anything that is put on a hot cooking oil. Now, since I am already a missus, everything must change and I know that. I must not only cook. I should cook. And this blog would be my diary in my journey towards cooking.

Cooking Adventure - Simple Pork Adobo Ala Pork Steak
I created this blog to keep track on the food which I have already served. I'm not good in following step-by-step instructions from guides that's why I cant cook spaghetti (it makes my head ache).
Well, what I have served this morning is a Simple Adobo Ala Pork Steak
I wanted to cook Pork steak but since we ran out of tender loin, the pork legs which is available in the ref will have to do.
Ingredients:
1 onion sliced
1 onion sliced (circle)
5-6 bulbs of garlic
500 grams of pork (combination of tender loin and pork legs)
vinegar
soy sauce
pepper
salt
Maggi Magic Sarap (optional)
Prepare the meat:
1. Wash the pork and pour soy sauce on it (about 1/3 of a glass)
2. Set aside
How I cooked it:
1. Saute onion until slightly cooked and add then garlic
2. Add the pork
3. Let it boil
4. Add Maggi Magic Sarap
5. Let it boil until tender
6. Add Salt and pepper to taste
7. When the meat is already cooked, put some vinegar to add flavor
8. Put the circular-sliced onion
9. Let it cook until the onion is already cooked
10. Serve Hot
You may also add a little bit of sugar on it. I wasn't able to add sugar because we don't keep sugar in our house.
How did it go?
My hubby ate so much that I reminded him that there were still people who haven't have their breakfasts yet. As for my personal assumption, well it tasted good. :) Too bad I wasnt able to take a photo of it.
More to come...
